Four on Friday: Fireflies
I think 4th of July weekend is the perfect time to introduce readers to some of my favorite summer animals – fireflies (or lightning bugs)! Our backyard has been filled with these little beacons of light for the past few weeks and it’s so fun to see them appear at dusk. Today I’m sharing a perfect theme – Four on Friday: Fireflies!
Do you have fireflies in your backyard? Learn more about these interesting insects from some of these great books! And if you’re looking for something to read to the whole family check out Firefly Hollow by Alison McGhee – a beautiful chapter book.
