Slice of Life Day 27: Reading Rogue
Even as busy as it’s been over the past few days I finally finished a book! This is a huge accomplishment because the past few weeks have been so crazy and honestly the last thing I want to do at night is to open a book.
But finally, I finished a whole book! And rather than reading from the neat stack of books sitting on my desk, I decided to go rogue. I knew that I just needed something light and fun that would take my mind off things for a little bit. And I found it! And even though it won’t be officially published until April 7th, I just have to share it.
When I’m in the need for something light, I tend to lean toward romances. There’s always going to be conflict, but in the end, the characters will end up together and all will be right with the world. And what better time for a romance than a hot summer fling between two characters who have a love-to-hate relationship with each other! You’ve got to check out Meet Me at Midnight by Jessica Pennington, published by Tor Teen.
And now that I’ve finally be able to read something, maybe I’ll tackle the TBR (to be read) pile sitting on my desk…
This is my second year participating in the Slice of Life Challenge. I’ll be posting brief posts that show a glimpse of my life in story-format. A slice of my life as a librarian and blogger that I hope you enjoy!
