Slice of Life Day 25: New Roommate
Yep, that’s right, I’ve got a new roommate! And I bet you’ll never guess who/what it is!
This is Tera, the library’s red-earred slider. He’s lived at the library for about ten years and absolutely loves people! We’ve been closed to the public since March 13th, but have had staff coming in every day during the week and I stopped by on the weekend to feed him. Now, the library’s staff is all working from home and I thought it would make my life easier and safer to bring him home with me.
I will tell you it was an adventure getting his tank and all his stuff home with me and then finding a place for his 4-foot long tank to live for the next few weeks. Spoiler – it’s sitting on my bar top in my kitchen/dining room. Plus, his filter and waterfall are so very loud and that will definitely take some getting used to. Even better, our pup’s not a big fan of change. So, she’s been stressed out and anxious all afternoon. It’s definitely going to be a bit of an adjustment for all of us.
This is my second year participating in the Slice of Life Challenge. I’ll be posting brief posts that show a glimpse of my life in story-format. A slice of my life as a librarian and blogger that I hope you enjoy!
