Four on Friday: Worries
Yesterday, I posted about a new normal, which I know is something everyone is trying to figure out right now. With schools closed, parents working from home, and the threat of catching coronavirus if you leave your house, it’s stressful! But for kids, especially young ones, it can be extremely difficult to understand why their entire schedule has changed. Why going to the library or having a playdate isn’t possible right now. How the safest option is to practice social distancing. Try explaining that to a preschooler. So that’s why I created my Four on Friday: Worries booklist.
With adults stressed, worried, anxious, frustrated, and generally trying to make everything work, kids can easily pick up on those feelings too. And for some kids, anxiousness is just something that is part of who they are. They might just tend to be natural worriers.
My hope is that this Four on Friday: Worries booklist with helpful stories for families whose typical schedules have been thrown completely out of whack and for kids who are reeling from a lot of changes and stress!
