2020 ALA Galleys
I told myself that I wasn’t going to pick up too many galleys when I stopped by the ALA Midwinter Conference. I ended up bringing home more than 50 new books! I’m not sure what happened. I’d walk past a publisher’s booth and then see a new book by an author I love and just have to pick it up. I’m also a sucker for a beautiful cover! I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I still do.
So now most people ask what I plan on doing with them all. The short answer is to read them. I organized everything into a spreadsheet with title, author, illustrator (if applicable), publisher, and publication date. Now, I’ve got a way to track what I have on my bookshelves and hope to read them all by June. Keep an eye out for a lot of great reviews coming soon!

It’s the very first time I spotted After the Worst Thing Happens out in the world. And I’m typing this mid-faint.
