It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 1/13/2020
Last Week
I absolutely fell in love with Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston – it literally made me laugh out loud multiple times! It’s such a fun story with a wonderful love story and great characters. And I finally did it! I finished all 499 pages of The Diamond Age: Or, A Young Lady’s Illustrated Primer by Neal Stephenson. Honestly, not anything that I would have ever picked up on my own in a million years. As I mentioned, I read this on a recommendation from a colleague. And I continued to fall asleep every single time I opened it! Probably because it took so much of my focus to understand the story. I did enjoy parts of it, but it definitely wasn’t my favorite. And I didn’t get to anything else!
Reading List for Week of 1/13/2020
Now, I’m planning to get to Lovely War by Julie Berry. And as I mentioned, I have a ton of ARCs that I need to read and review! I’m hoping to get to Don’t Check Out This Book by Kate Klise, published by Algonquin Young Readers. It’s a slight book, coming in at 160 pages, so it should be a quick read. I also want to get to The Deep and Dark Blue by Niki Smith, a graphic novel published by Little, Brown and Company. And finally, Throw Like a Girl by Sarah Henning a YA novel published by Little, Brown and Company where “romance meets underdog sports story.”
