31 Days, 31 Lists, Fuse #8 Production
If you’re not familiar with A Fuse #8 Production, it’s a blog hosted on School Library Journal. It’s written by Betsy Bird, the Collection Manager for Evanston Public Libary. She has also served on the Newbery Committee and written for Horn Book. I’m going to say it, she knows her stuff, especially when it comes to children’s literature.
Over the past few years, she takes the entire month of December and creates a new book list everyday. Each day focus on a different themes. From board books to middle grade novels, nonfiction to graphic novels, she’s got you covered. 31 Days, 31 Lists, a Fuse #8 Production.
Betsy gives you great book suggestions, published in 2019. But, she also gives a great synopsis and her opinion which I often agree with. I love rhyming picture books and she’s got a great list of titles, that I’ll definitely be checking out. Because, not all rhyming books are created equal. Sometimes they don’t rhyme all that well.
She’s also got a list of picture book readalouds that I’m passing on to my storytellers. They all love to check out new suggestions.
And with it being just about halfway through the month, you’ve got plenty of catching up to do. Plus, you’ve got a lot to look forward to as well. Take a dive into a list that interests you. Then stop by your local library to pick up a few titles to enjoy this weekend!
Enjoy! And if you’re looking for even more book lists than 31 Days, 31 Lists, Fuse #8 Production, check out my extensive collection of book lists on my blog!
