Top Ten Tuesday: Changes In My Reading Life
- I have a blog about books. 10+ years ago, I never would have thought this was something I would be doing.
- I like graphic novels more than I ever thought I would.
- I don’t often read many series unless the whole series has already been published.
- I tend to read a lot more realistic fiction now than I used to as a kid.
- I’ll stop reading something I don’t enjoy. I no longer feel like I need to finish something.
- I don’t often re-read books anymore. When I was a kid, I had a rotation of American Girl books I would re-read constantly.
- I’m much more aware of and searching for books with diverse characters, situations, etc.
- I have books sent to me by publishers to read and review!
- I now use an ereader and while it’s not necessarily my first choice, it does come in handy when traveling.
- And finally, the one thing that hasn’t changed – just how much I love to read!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

I didn’t reread books much either until earlier this year! Now I’m loving it.

#6 and #7 apply to me. I have two books I still reread every year, but I also say every year “I should reread more”. It’s hard to prioritize when, as a book blogger/librarian, you’re so aware of all the news books constantly being released. #7 has led me o read more contemporary middle grade. As for #10 – it’s good to know some things don’t need to change š
