It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 11/18/19
Last Week
It was another busy week for me and my reading life has suffered! I finished Spies: The Secret Showdown Between America and Russia by Mac Favreau and really enjoyed this close-up look of the Cold War and the depth of spying both in the U.S. and abroad during this time. This is another perfect example of a book that would do well in a high school classroom to really teach kids the more exciting parts of history.
I also finished Geekerella by Ashley Poston, which I had started as an audiobook when I went out to see my parents. I’m not much of an audiobook reader due to a short commute to work and very little traveling day-to-day. I’m also a very fast reader, so I can finish something pretty quickly and the audio tends to take a little longer. I was able to grab a physical copy of Geekerella and finished that this weekend too.
Reading List for Week of 11/18/19
My booklist for this week includes (spoiler alert) all the books on my list last week! I have them all in hand now, so I’m hoping to read a little here and there. I’ve got a busy week with programming every night, so I might not read as much as I want, but at least I have some options!
- Look Both Ways by Jason Reynolds
- Eventown by Corey Ann Haydu
- The Miraculous by Jess Redman
