Chapter Book Read Alouds for First Graders
I got a chance to see a close friend over the weekend and she was remarking how she and her husband were looking for chapter book read alouds for first graders. I love requests like this – I create booklists of all sorts for my blog, but when I get to do it for a personal friend, it’s even more special that I can share my passion with someone I know! Her son doesn’t really have a favorite genre yet and is still exploring the types of books he enjoys.
For this list, I wanted to create lots of opportunities to experience different types of books, authors, and characters. I wanted to combine old-fashioned classics and modern titles for not quite a comprehensive list, but one that will provide him with some amazing books to share with his parents. Enjoy, buddy!
