Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Enjoyed That Are Outside of My Comfort Zone

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Enjoyed That Are Outside of My Comfort Zone was another difficult list as I tend to enjoy most things I read and have a pretty good idea of what to pick up that I’ll enjoy reading. My favorite genre is realistic, contemporary fiction for middle grade readers. The books that I’m surprised I liked include a couple of graphic novels and fantasy titles. Plus a few nonfiction titles and a handful adult books as well.

I tend to read fairly diversely, so I’m comfortable trying most books, but I have learned that if I’m not enjoying a book, I’ll definitely let it go to try something else. I used to have to finish everything I picked up, but there’s too much out there I want to read to waste time on something that’s not for me at the time. And even if I don’t necessarily like a book, I’ll often know of someone who it would be perfect for!
