9 Books to Celebrate National Milk Chocolate Day
I love starting my day not knowing exactly where it’s going! I wanted to make sure to post today but didn’t have too much of an idea of what to write about. So after perusing the Internet for a bit, I came across today’s holidays and it’s National Milk Chocolate Day! Need I say more? Take a few minutes to indulge in 9 Books to Celebrate National Milk Chocolate Day.
My family has a chocolate cake recipe from a grandmother that passed away before I got the chance to meet her and it is the best chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten. It’s an old-school recipe that includes boiling water in a really runny batter, but comes out so moist each and every time! I love making two round cakes and then making a chocolate buttercream frosting for the middle layer and to frost the outside of the cake. In fact, it’s the cake requested by my partner for his birthday every year.
Plus, when you’ve got a sister-in-law whose family owns a chocolate business, it makes for a pretty good visit every time I’m home! My favorites have got to be chocolate covered pretzels, milk chocolate and peanut butter sandwiches and of course, salted caramel chocolates! I love it all!
So, grab a nice bar of chocolate or bake a fancy dessert today or if it’s not going to be 90+ degrees where you live, indulge in a cup of hot chocolate! (And don’t forget to check out these 9 Books to Celebrate National Milk Chocolate Day!)
