Top Ten Tuesday: Childhood Favorites
I loved to read as a kid, which is probably not a big surprise! My parents were constantly on me to “go outside and play” which for me meant picking up the book I was reading and heading out to the deck to read some more! I was also a perpetual repeat-reader, re-reading my favorites or books that were on my own bookshelf even though we often visited our local library. Here are just a few of my childhood favorites!
- The Babysitters Club by Ann M. Martin
- The Bread Sister of Sinking Creek by Robin Moore
- From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg
- Harriett the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh
- Julie of the Wolves by Jean Craighead George
- Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder
- Meet Samantha by Valerie Tripp
- Ramona Forever by Beverly Cleary
- Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan
- The Sign of the Beaver by Elizbeth George Speare
