It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 6/24/19
Last Week
Can we start with a happy dance this week? I was finally able to shower in my new bathroom! And if you’re wondering, it was wonderful! I’ll definitely have to post some pictures of the finished project. But, for most of the weekend, we have continued to work on home renovations – painting, spackling, etc. When I had half a second to read a page or two before bedtime, I’ve been reading The Mortification of Fovea Munson by Mary Winn Heider. It’s quirky and fun and I can’t wait to finish it when I get home.
The rest of my week/weekend has been spent in DC attending the ALA Annual Conference, spending time with a lot of great librarians and learning about a lot of really cool things, ideas, and meeting some new people. That being said, I tend to be an introvert, so I forced myself not to carry a book with me while I’ve been here. (I mean, I’ve got a bunch of new ARCs to talk about on the blog, but I didn’t start reading any of them yet.)
Reading List for Week of 6/24/19
I’ve got a ton of ARCs and newly published titles from the conference, which I’ll be talking about in the next couple of days, but I still have a bunch of things on Netgalley to read too:
- Some Place More Than Others by Renée Watson
- All the Impossible Things by Lindsay Lackey
- Roll With It by Jamie Sumner
- More to the Story by Hena Khan
- The Jumbie’s God Revenge by Tracey Baptiste
