Summer of Nonfiction: Board Books
Board books are the perfect time to introduce nonfiction titles to kids. Plus, it helps young children learn about the world around them, even concepts that may be too difficult can be easily broken down into simple words or phrases as an introduction through the use of a board book. Check out just a few examples below of great nonfiction board books for young readers.
- Rocket Science for Babies by Chris Ferrie
- Baby Loves Coding! by Ruth Spiro
- Hello World! Solar System by Jill McDonald
- Move! by Steve Jenkins & Robin Page
- This Little Trailblazer: A Girl Power Primer by Joan Holub
- Where Is Baby’s Belly Button? by Karen Katz
- Planes by Byron Barton
- First 100 Words by Roger Priddy
- All Aboard! National Parks: A Wildlife Primer by Haily Meyers
I’m so excited to try something new this summer! I’m going to be highlighting nonfiction titles for a variety of age groups and in different styles. I plan on creating lists for different age groups – picture books, middle grade, and young adult. Plus, I’d like to take a look at format as well – books filled with facts, narrative non-fiction, and graphic novel format as well.
