Top Ten Tuesday: Characters That Remind Me of Myself
I love to read, it’s the one thing that I have always loved to do in my free time. I’m the person who carries something to read with me almost anywhere I go, the one who finished schoolwork early and pulled out a book to read, the one who can’t fathom how people “wish they had time to read.” Reading is my happy place, my escape, my calm. So, it’s only fitting that I wanted to highlight some book characters who love books as much as I do!
- Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K Rowling
- Matilda Wormwood from Matilda by Roald Dahl
- Sierra Russell from Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein
- Emily from Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman
- Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
- Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
- Sefia from The Reader by Traci Chee
- Liesel Meminger from The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
- France Nolan from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
- Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
