Blogging From A to Z Challenge – PTSD
When someone hears Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) they often think of soldiers returning from combat integrating back into civilian life. And although that does happen, PTSD can also occur from other traumatic events in a person’s life. I hope that this list shows characters with PTSD in an honest and true light.
A side note, I added Six of Crows to the list because it’s rare to see much diversity in genres other than realistic fiction and so I thought it was important to share this title.
- Boy Toy by Barry Lyga
- Bruised by Sarah Skilton
- I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
- The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
- Tiffany Sly Lives Here Now by Dana L. Davis
I’m spending the month of April promoting diversity in children and young adult literature as part of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. Stop by every day for a new list of titles! Also, check out other bloggers who are participating by heading over at the Blogging From A to Z website!
