Slice of Life Day 30: Full House & a Busy Day
My parents, brother, sister-in-law, niece, nephew and my parent’s dog are staying at my place for the weekend! It’s been a very busy day already – we went out for breakfast, walked down to the playground, played outside, ran to the grocery store, had lunch, went back outside to play, and it’s finally quiet for a few minutes so I’m writing this post!
I couldn’t miss the second to last day after posting something every day this month! Right about now, I could use a shower and a nap, but I’m not wasting the precious few hours I get to spend with my family on something as trivial as napping!
Next up is getting ready for dinner – it’s so nice outside we’re going to grill some chicken and vegetables on the patio, enjoy a glass of wine and have a few more family members stop by to enjoy it with us!
I hope your weekend is relaxing and fun-filled!
The Slice of Life Challenge is something new I’m trying this month! I’ll be posting brief posts that show a glimpse of my life in story-format. A slice of my life as a librarian and blogger that I hope you enjoy!

Sounds like a full day, for sure, and you milked every moment from it. That said, a caution: Underestimate the power of a nap at your own peril; in my experience, it’s neither wasteful, nor trivial š

A full house for the weekend is always so much fun. I hope that you are enjoying all your time with them!
