Top Ten Tuesday: Audio Freebie
I catch up on my podcast listening when I hit the gym. I try to get to the gym at least four times a week, but that depends a lot on my schedule and my motivation. I know a lot of people who need to listen to music while working out, but I’ve found that podcasts are great because if I zone out for a minute, I can usually jump right back in. Plus, with a really short commute to work, I don’t get a chance to listen to podcasts during that time.
- PW Kids Cast – Interviews with children’s and YA authors conducted by Publishers Weekly children’s editor Emma Kantor (A new-to-me podcast that I can’t wait to try!)
- Books Between – Every other Monday, I share book talks, interviews, and ideas for getting great books into the hands of kids between 8-12.
- Kidlit These Days – Pairing the best of children’s literature with what’s going on in the world today.
- Get Booked: Personalized Book Recommendations – Get Booked is a weekly show of custom book recommendations from the bookworms at Book Riot.
- Scholastic Reads – Conversations about the joy and power of reading
- Literaticast – Literary Agent Jennifer Laughran and her friends dish about the world of Children’s Publishing.
- Lifelines: Books That Bridge the Divide – In this podcast, we share conversations with librarians, educators, and readers about the children’s books that can be bridges across our cultural divides
- Book Club For Kids! – a free 20-minute podcast where middle graders talk about books with host Kitty Felde.(I haven’t listened to this one yet, but I’m going to try it out)
- Hey YA – From great new books to favorite classic reads, from news to the latest in on-screen adaptations, the Hey YA podcast is here to elevate the exciting world of young adult lit.
- The Yarn Podcast – the inside story of children’s books
