Slice of Life Day 23: Weekends Are For…
My weekends are usually spent cleaning up the house, organizing paperwork, doing laundry, vacuuming the floors, grocery shopping for the week, and catching up on work for my blog. We’ll usually catch up with a few friends at some point during the weekend – grabbing a drink or stopping by someone’s house for dinner.
And, if I can I usually try to read a book or two. Now, for some people, the idea of reading that much seems absolutely crazy. But, I love to read and I’m a pretty quick reader as well. Pair that with the fact that I read mainly middle grade and YA titles, I can get through a couple of titles a week, usually. Because I’m under the weather this weekend, I’m going to use it as an excuse to get through a few titles that have been sitting on my shelf for a few days weeks now.
What are your plans for the weekend?
The Slice of Life Challenge is something new I’m trying this month! I’ll be posting brief posts that show a glimpse of my life in story-format. A slice of my life as a librarian and blogger that I hope you enjoy!

Sounds like a good balance between productive and enjoyable. For me too a perfect weekend includes reading, reading, reading.

I have quite the stack myself on my nightstand! Hoping to get through a few now that spring break has sprung! Happy reading!

Sounds like a pretty nice weekend! It’s important to find the time for things we enjoy along with taking care of what needs to get done.

Um, doing taxes? Which, in fairness, did involve some reading :O

Me…I’ll be writing report cards (although I have managed to procrastinate almost through all of Saturday). I love treating yourself to reading time, I too, have to make time for reading. It’s not a frill–it’s essential! (Hope you’re feeling better!)

I have spent most of this weekend dodging the small toys that seem to find their way right by my feet wherever I happen to be sitting! HA!
I have been obsessed with reading on my phone lately and can get through a book or two in a weekend….apparently I don’t need a full nights sleep on the weekends!
