I’ve been trying to replicate my grandmother’s apple pie recipe for years. It’s one of those recipes that has never been written down and no matter how many times I ask Grandma for her recipe, she just rattles off what she does. And no matter what I do, it just doesn’t taste the same. This is the pie she made me the back in September when I was able to go visit! (My aunts were all jealous that Grandma made a pie, just for me, but don’t worry, I shared!)
