Slice of Life Day 10: Spring Ahead
It’s supposedly 7:15am and I’m all discombobulated! I fell asleep early last night after a busy day of garage renovation and deep cleaning the house (which now looks amazing)! After my dog woke me up requesting her morning walk, I realized just how dark it still is (plus it’s pouring rain, so that doesn’t help either!).
So, now that we “sprang ahead” it feels much earlier than it is, making my brain all confused and wishing we didn’t have to do this every six months or so. As I get older, it takes my body longer to adjust than it ever used to.
I know of a number of states that are starting to do away with Daylight Savings Time, which to me, makes sense. I can always get up in the morning much easier if the sun is rising and it’s light outside. Now, I’ll be waking up to darkness having to take the dog for a walk with a flashlight again! But then again, I love having that extra daylight after work during the summer when you feel like you’ve got time on your hands to enjoy the outdoors.
What do you think about Daylight Savings Time?
The Slice of Life Challenge is something new I’m trying this month! I’ll be posting brief posts that show a glimpse of my life in story-format. A slice of my life as a librarian and blogger that I hope you enjoy!

Shared my thoughts on daylight saving in my slice, summed up by your opening word: discombobulated.

YAAAAAAASSS! I felt all kinds of off yesterday and it was worse this morning when it was pitch black out when I woke up for work…..Another day or two and hopefully I will be feeling back to normal….the sun is out today here, so that helps a bit.
