2019 Amelia Bloomer List
You’ll have to forgive me as I’ve wanted to post about the Amelia Bloomer List, but just haven’t had time yet! The Amelia Bloomer List is a project of the Feminist Task Force of the Social Responsibilities Round Table of the American Library Association. Each year, a committee “recommends well-written, well-illustrated books for young readers with significant feminist content.” This year there are close to 70 titles recommended, I’ve only highlighted the Top Ten as I couldn’t figure out how to realistically show all of the covers in a Canva-created image.
Definitely take some time to check out the full list as it’s a great place to go for suggestions for feminist books for all ages! I recognize some of the titles, while others are new to me and I’m now intrigued to search them out!
