8 Read Aloud Chapter Books Featuring Adventurous Guys

Yesterday I wrote a post about read aloud chapter books for strong girls and promised a post about guys and after doing some digging I found these 8 Read Aloud Chapter Books Featuring Adventurous Guys!

Now, let me make this very clear – these are not books to read to just the little boys in your household! These titles are for everyone! When I started yesterday’s list I realized just how many awesome female protagonists there were and decided to focus on them for the titles I selected. Which means, I also wanted to provide a list of male protagonists. It was really interesting to try and find male protagonists and ended up easily finding male anthropomorphic animals or creatures. And a couple of titles with primary characters being the father or adult male in the story. It’s always really interesting when you dive into booklist themes, you never knwo what you’ll find!

Unfortunately, there are very few chapter books at this level with transgender or non-binary characters – an important area that needs further publication. If you’re aware of any please send me a tweet or comment on this page, I’d love to hear your suggestiosn!
