#blogbookaday: Business Pig
Summary:
“Right from the start, everyone at the barnyard could tell Jasper wasn’t like his siblings: “I believe what we have here is a gen-u-WINE Business Pig!” No wallowing in the mud or rooting for grubs for Jasper; he’d rather help with the bookkeeping or conduct a meeting. Though everyone at the animal sanctuary loves him, Jasper longs for a forever home. But no matter how many business cards he hands out, no one wants to adopt him. Can this above-average pig find his special person to cut deals with?” (Taken from Goodreads)
Review:
Jasper isn’t like other pigs – he’d prefer charts and graphs over mud and slop. Although he’s got plenty of friends at the farm animal sanctuary, he can’t help but wish he had a forever home with someone who valued his knowledge of bookkeeping.
Personal Reaction:
This is a sweet book about being true to yourself even when it means sticking out in the crowd. I love Andrea Zuill’s adorable illustrations of a piglet in a business suit conducting a meeting of farm animals! And when Jasper finally finds his person – it’s a perfect match!

This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
