#blogbookaday: Happy Dreamer
Summary:
“A celebration of the colorful spectrum of what it means to dream and the many ways to find happy!
While the world tells us to sit still, to follow the rules, and to color inside the lines, Happy Dreamer celebrates all those moments in between when the mind and spirit soar and we are free to become our own true dreamer maximus!” (Taken from Goodreads)
Review:
There are just as many ways to dream as there are people in this world. Peter H. Reynolds uses his remarkable storytelling (and artistic) talent to show kids that being a dreamer is so important, no matter what type of dreamer you are.
Personal Reaction:
I love Peter’s work, he has an amazing way of making readers feel understood, heard, important, inspired and so much more. There are so many pages in this book that I would just cut out and frame because they’re so beautiful. But, my favorite part of the story has to be the HUGE spread at the end of dreamers of all types to allow kids to find their own way to dream. (And to know that that’s important!) This is a must-read and a must-have for your personal collection.

This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
