Reading List for Week of 10/29/18

I’ve also got The Book of Boy by Catherine Gilbert Murdock, The Lifters by Dave Eggers, The Season of Styx Malone by Kekla Magoon, and Lions & Liars by Kate Beasley. There are so many great middle grade titles that I can’t wait to read! I just need more time in my schedule. I’ll be working a lot of extra hours this week getting ready for our largest event of the year on Friday night. We’ll see how much reading I can get done in the meantime!

Last Week

This week I read Hurricane Child by Kheryn Callendar – a mix of realistic fiction and magical realism. It’s full of themes including bullying, queer crushes, friendship, family and so much more. I did spend a little time reading my new “guilty” pleasure – the Library Lover’s Mysteries by Jenn McKinlay. One of my staff members turned me on to this series and I’m loving these cozy mysteries. That being said, I didn’t spend much other time reading. I also started 24 Hours in Nowhere by Dusti Bowling which I’m hoping to finish early this week as it’ll be a busy week!
