#blogbookaday: No Frogs In School
Summary:
“Bartholomew shares his love of scaly, hairy, and hoppy pets by bringing one to school each morning, starting a wild week that charms his classmates but challenges his teacher.” (Taken from Goodreads)
Review:
Bartholomew loves his pets more than anything else. And he wants to share them with his classmates at school. Each day he brings one of his pets to school with him. And each day his teacher creates a new rule against pets in the classroom. Finally, Bartholomew comes up with an amazing idea that might just solve both his problems and his teacher’s.
Personal Reaction:
This is such a sweet story about a little boy who loves animals. Although his teacher makes a new rule each day about Bartholomew’s pets, he does an amazing job of trying to remain calm under pressure. I loved seeing Bartholomew’s bedroom and his decision-making process on which animal to bring into school. I love his kind, loving soul and his final decision on how to be happy at school (and not cause a ruckus at the same time)!

This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
