Review:

It’s hot in the jungle, but when the perfect breeze starts to blow the jaguar is ready for a short siesta! So, he asks the coati to wake him up in ten minutes! But the coati wants to take a siesta too and asks the cockatiel and on it goes until only the sloth is awake! But, will the sloth be able to stay away for just ten minutes to wake up the cockatiel, coati and the jaguar?

Personal Reaction: 

This is an adorable set-up to try to keep a sloth awake for just ten minutes! I love the illustrations with cartoon-style animals with big eyes and bright colors. I also really enjoyed the fact that the author used animals that kids may not be familiar with – like coati and cockatiel. Pair this with Sparky by Jenny Offill and A Little Book of Sloth by Lucy Cooke for a perfect storytime theme on sloths!
