#blogbookaday: Firefighter Duckies
Summary: “WEE-OOO-WEE-OOO-WEE-OOO! Here come the Firefighter Duckies!
Frank Dormer is at it again with this quack-out-loud silly story, full of wacky charm and perfect for little duckies of all dispositions.
The Firefighter Duckies are brave and strong. They rescue: Gorillas in chef hats!
Whales in trees!
Dinosaurs on bicycles!
But when the emergencies requiring their attention become a little overwhelming, the Firefighter Duckies realize that they don’t have to be brave and strong to be helpful and kind.” (Taken from Goodreads)
Review: The firefighter duckies are brave and strong and trying to help a whole lot of characters, until they become exhausted and have an idea to prevent a few emergencies so they can get a little sleep! The firefighter duckies aren’t only brave and strong, but also helpful and kind!
Personal Reaction: This was a fun firefighter story – perfect for Fire Prevention Week in October. What I liked about this story is that it didn’t take itself too seriously with lots of fun characters and simple illustrations with great expression! And with a few repetitive words, kids are sure to help read the story too as you share it together!

This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
