Review: A little fox wants to play outside on a windy day in early spring, but the wind keeps messing with his plans! After being frustrated by his ruined games, Argyle Fox thinks of something fun he can do to play with the wind. This is a story of perseverance, determination and imagination!

Personal Reaction: I liked this story because Argyle Fox got extremely upset by the wind ruining his games, but in the end worked hard to figure out a way to play outside and have the wind help him at the same time. I liked that this story didn’t downplay his frustration with the wind and his games being ruined – that it was okay to have those feelings, but to also give him the choice to make it better. I thought that this was the perfect way to handle childhood feelings. I also loved his imaginative play as he built a card tower, played spider and pirates and knight. All games that he played on his own in the forest with just a few props – hopefully this story gives little ones some ideas for playing as well (ones that don’t require technology)!
