Review: A perfect mix between story and facts, Prickly Hedgehogs takes you through a year in the life of a baby hedgehog as it learns to hunt, builds a home and gets ready to hibernate all winter long. With additional, sidebar facts this is the perfect story for little ones who always ask why!

Personal Reaction: I adored the mixed media illustrations that keep the story beautiful and accurate. Plus with an afterword of more information about hedgehogs, an index, and some more resources about hedgehogs available in the back of the book, this makes for a really great STEM title for little ones – accessible, adorable, and fun!
