#blogbookaday: I Am Famous

I Am Famous.jpgSummary:  “Kiely knows she is famous! The paparazzi (her parents) follow her every move, documenting with cameras. It’s exhausting being famous, but someone has to do it! She even gets to perform a big song at her grandfather’s birthday. When she messes it up, she’s worried she’s lost her audience forever, but it turns out that no one is as loyal as her fans who love her.” (Taken from Goodreads)

Review: Kiely has been famous since she was born as her pictures and adorable videos get shared on social media with friends and family alike. She’s a singer, dancer and actress, she can do it all! But when she’s set to perform at grandpa’s birthday, she runs into a few snags… will her adoring fans still adore her?

Personal Reaction: I thought this was a cute story about a sassy  little girl that loves the attention her family gives her! I also loved that even when she made a few mistakes, she kept going and in the end realized her family loved her no matter what! Kids and parents alike will quickly see their own families portrayed in this story about what it takes to be a superstar and how much love a family has for each other!

#blogbookaday (1)This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
