It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 7/30/18

This was a fun week of reading as I was able to finish The Boy, the Boat, and the Beast by Samantha M. Clark – and even though I kind of figured out the premise of the story it still held enough surprise for me at the end. I also read The House That Lou Built by Mae Respicio about a young girl embarking on building a tiny house for her and her mom, before her mom decides to take a job that requires them to move away from family and friends.

And this weekend I read Playing Atari with Saddam Hussein by Jennifer Roy and Ali Fadhil about the Gulf War written in the perspective of a young boy living in Basra, Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and I also read The Key to Everything by Pat Schmatz about a young girl wanting to grow up and facing hardship along the way.

The Science of Breakable Things by Tae Keller this week and I’m hoping that I can get a hold of a copy of Nightbooks by J.A. White and Just Under the Clouds by Melissa Sarno. What do you have planned to read this week?
