Summer: A Pop-Up Book Review

summer.jpgSynopsis: “Just in time for summer, this is the fourth and final book in the David Carter pop-up book series about the seasons. Each spread has a brief verse and depicts flora and fauna commonly found during the summer months. Pictures of strawberries, tomatoes, chipmunks, and more are labeled with simple text, making the book easy for very young readers to understand and enjoy.” (Taken from Goodreads)

Review: The fourth book in a pop-up board book series about the seasons, Summer focuses on outdoor life filled with animals and plants in a variety of settings with each aspect  identified for those kids in the ever-curious “Why?” stage. With short verses on each page, kids have time to explore the spreads, searching for their favorite animals, taking in plants they might see near their home. This makes a great choice for a STEM program or for kids interested in the outdoors and nature.

Twitter Booktalk (280ish characters or less): Summer introduces our youngest readers to the animals and plants that thrive during our warmest months of the year! With adorable pop-ups of gardens, orchards and babbling brooks. This is sure-fire STEM book for nature lovers!
