It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 6/10/18

I love when I plan out my reading for the week and then totally toss it aside when I get my hands on some other titles! So you can ignore what I thought I’d try and read this week, because I didn’t get to any of those books, but instead found some great books that I really enjoyed!

This week I read Willa of the Wood by Robert Beatty as an ARC on NetGalley. He is also the author of the trilogy Seraphina and the Black Cloak which I also really liked. He does an amazing job creating an atmospheric story that is full of adventure and just the right amount of scary to get your heart pumping.

I finally got my hands on a copy of Kelly Yang’s Front Desk and it’s as great as what I’ve heard from friends and colleagues all over Twitter and Goodreads. The story of a immigrant family searching for the American dream and working hard to prove themselves at work, at school and even at home.

I’m also half way through Marcus Vega Doesn’t Speak Spanish by Pablo Cartaya. The author wrote The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora which I read last year and really enjoyed. This is another great story and I’m loving the characters and the setting of Puerto Rico.

So, since I didn’t get to anything that I had on the scheduel for this week, I’m hoping to read The Frame-Up by Wendy MacKnight and The Boy, the Bird, and the Coffin Maker by Matilda Woods. I also picked up The Train to Impossible Places: A Cursed Delivery
by P. G. Bell on NetGalley, so I’ll try to get to that title as well!
