Review: A story about a barnacle who is bored with the monotony of his life as the tides ebb and flow, as the sun moves across the sky, that is, until he sees a polka-dotted fish and imagines what his life could be like. With a surprise twist at the end, this book is all about perspective and enjoying the life you lead.

Personal Reaction: Kids love books like this, especially if you create an extremely whiny voice for that bored barnacle. With a simple ocean backdrop and some adorable facial expressions from the marine life, kids will be giggling their way through this book. A perfect choice for the beginning of summer where I’m sure parents will often be hearing, “I’m bored!”
