Soon he’s feeding him and walking him and finds that he really does love Floaty the dog, but when an accident cause Floaty to float away, Mr. Raisin must do everything he can to find Floaty again. And I must say, I really did see that problem solving at the end – I don’t want to give anything way, just read the book! Personal Reaction: It’s amazing how much I felt for this grumpy old man when Floaty floated away – I was so sad for him! But, I think my favorite part was when Floaty stole all of Mr. Raisin’s covers because that’s how I feel about my dog every winter – she steals all the covers for herself! These are the types of books that remind that picture books can be amazingly powerful to those who read them.
