Review: A little girl and puppy get to know each other as friends in this adorable story. The work hard to get to know each other and when they do, they find a friend for life. I’m definitely a “dog person” and love this story that shows such a strong bond between child and puppy.
Personal Reaction: I loved how this book could be told from the girl’s perspective or the little puppy’s perspective as they each learn about each other. I thin my absolute favorite part of this story was the puppy drawn with oversized ears and adorable expressions! This book would make a great story to share in a toddler storytime with a small amount of text and simple pictures.

This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
