It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 5/14/18
I’m feeling much better about my reading life, I had another great week and even though I chose not to continue reading one of the books planned for the week, I was okay letting it go as I had other options to choose from! This week was a big week, I read –
- The Journey of Little Charlie by Christopher Paul Curtis
- The Creature of the Pines by Adam Gidwitz
- You Go First by Erin Entrada Kelly
- The Disappearing Spoon by Sam Kean (currently reading)
I started Camp Rolling Hills – Freefall by Stacy Davidowitz, which I received as a title to review. It’s book number four in the series and although it is realistic fiction, I just couldn’t get into it too much. It was written with a lot of pop culture and slang references and so I chose to just set it aside and pick up something else instead. I can definitely see it being popular for 5th and 6th grade students, but just not my cup of tea.
This week, my goal is to finish The Disappearing Spoon by Sam Kean, plus I’d love to read Bob by Wendy Mass and Rebecca Stead, Charlie & Frog by Karen Kane, and Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed.
