#blogbookaday: Hug This Book!
Summary: “An energetic, heartfelt, and humorous ode to book love. You can spin and twirl and dance with this book. You can listen while someone else reads it. You can take your book to lunch. Just do not try to feed it.” (Taken from Goodreads)
Review: A book filled with all the great things you can do with books! It’s the perfect story for a family or class that loves books. With limited text and five colors in the bright swatches of colors across the page – this is a fun and visually appealing book to read. I really enjoy illustrators who are playing with a way to mix traditional and digital design together to create amazing art.
Personal Reaction: I wanted to hug this book when I was done with it! It’s an adorable story about loving books so much and sharing them with the people (and animals) around you! If you were doing a storytime or read aloud about books or the library, I would definitely include this title.

This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
