It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 3/19/18
This week I finished up Saint Philomene’s Infirmary for Magical Creatures by Bill Cotter, read A Land of Permanent Goodbyes by Atia Abawi which was very well-written, but hard to read as it’s the story of Syrian refugees trying to find a safe and welcoming place to start a new life, Checked by Cynthia Kadohata, and I finished Smart Cookie by Elly Swartz.
It’s another busy week as I’ll spend most of the week at the Public Library Association Conference, plus I’ve got a Board of Supervisors meeting on Thursday night and a wedding on Friday night and with friends in from out of town for the wedding, I’m sure the weekend will be busy as well. I’m hoping to take the train into the city for the conference, so maybe I’ll get a chance to do some reading then. I’ve got Granted by John David Anderson that I’m starting now and hope to get these titles from work:
- Ivy Aberdeen’s Letter to the World by Ashley Herring Blake
- The Art of the Swap by Kristine Carlson Asselin
- The Serpent’s Secret by Sayantani DasGupta
And I can’t wait to see what ARCs will be available at the conference! I’d better clear some space up in my office for some new titles!
