It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 3/5/18

Well, I had every intention of spending most of my weekend reading, I was able to read during the week and felt great going into the weekend and then we got hit by the nor’easter on Friday leaving us without power. As, I’m writing this on Sunday evening at 8:30pm we’ve been without power for 52 hours with the latest update that we’ll get power restored late Tuesday night. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we’ll get power back before then, but we’ll see. Needless to say, we’ve been dealing with trying to get a generator up and running, keeping warm and figuring out how and what to eat without a stove/microwave/oven.

This week, I still managed to read:

  • Flower Moon by G. J. Linko
  • Piecing Me Together by Renée Watson
  • Caraval by Stephanie Garber

And I’ve already started The Cruel Prince by Holly Black which means I’ve finally caught up with these titles that I’ve been hoarding for a few weeks! Now, it’s off to find some new titles for the upcoming week – I’ve got the following on hold, let’s see what comes in first:

  • Saint Philomene’s Infirmary for Magical Creatures  by Bill Cotter
  • Ivy Aberdeen’s Letter to the World by Ashley Herring Blake
  • The Art of the Swap by Kristine Carlson Asselin
  • The Serpent’s Secret by Sayantani DasGupta
  • Smart Cookie by Elly Swartz
  • Checked by Cynthia Kadohata
  • Granted by John David Anderson
