It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 1/29/18

I’m tooting my own horn today, because I participated in #24in48 and read for 24 hours during a 48 hour period this weekend! It was A LOT of reading and I’m really proud of myself for being able to do it! I’ll be talking more about my experience this week, as for now – here’s what I read this week:

  • The Glass Town Game by Catherynne M. Valente
  • Every Shiny Thing by Cordelia Jensen and Laurie Morrison (Netgalley ARC)
  • Flying Lessons & Other Stories edited by Ellen Oh (short stories)
  • Louis Undercover by Fanny Britt (graphic novel)
  • Mighty Jack by Ben Hatke (graphic novel)
  • The Time Museum by Matthew Loux (graphic novel)
  • Princess Cora and the Crocodile by Laura Amy Schlitz (chapter book)
  • The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O’Neill (chapter book)
  • Three Pennies by Melanie Crowder (middle grade realistic fiction)
  • Beatrice Zinker, Upside Down Thinker by Shelley Johannes (middle grade realistic fiction)
  • Big and Little Questions (According to Wren Jo Byrd) by Julie Bowe (middle grade realistic fiction)
  • When We Collided by Emery Lord (YA romance)
  • The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli (YA realistic fiction)
  • Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway (YA realistic fiction)

And I listened to half of each of these books:

  • The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket (Overdrive/audiobook)
  • The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer (Playaway/audiobook)

I didn’t get to as many fantasy titles as I had planned or my Netgalley ARCs because my old-school Nook was acting up, but I’m happy with how many titles I read and really enjoyed the variety of what I chose. What I’ve got left includes:

  • The Art of the Swap by Kristine Asselin and Jen Malone (Netgalley ARC)
  • Saint Philomene’s Infirmary for Magical Creatures by W. Stone Cotter (Netgalley ARC)
  • A Friendly Town That’s Almost Always by the Ocean! by Kir Fox and M. Shelley Coats (Netgalley ARC)
  • Beyond the Green by Sharlee Glenn (Netgalley ARC)
  • Tumble & Blue by Cassie Beasley (middle grade magical realism)
  • Shadow Weaver by MarcyKate Connolly (middle grade fantasy)
  • Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend (middle grade fantasy)
  • Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo (YA fantasy)
  • The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson (YA realistic fiction)
  • The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo (YA short stories)
  • Caraval by Stephanie Garber (YA fantasy)
  • Renegades by Marissa Meyer (YA science fiction)

I’m not sure how many of these I’ll get to this week, but I’m still excited to read these and will probably hop between Netgalley ARCs and young adult titles!
