It’s Not Too Late to Sign Up for the 24in48 Readathon
I took a giant step in my reading life and decided to sign up for my first 24in48 Readathon where it will be my goal to read 24 hours during a 48 hour period. Seems crazy, right? Well, I’ve had my eye on this challenge for a while and I knew I would need a weekend that was as clear as possible so that I would be distracted or feel like I had too many other things to do, so I cleared my schedule and other than a friend’s birthday on Saturday night, I’m ready to go!
The 24in48 Readathon happens a couple of times a year where you block off 48 hours to try and read for 24 of them. This year the first readathon will happen this weekend beginning at 12:01am Saturday morning and running until 11:59pm Sunday night. I can break up my reading any way I like to try and reach the goal of 24 hours. Why?
Because being able to lock down that many reading hours is truly magical and why not?
Here’s my list of titles I have ready for the weekend, hoping to break up text heavy books with graphic novels and using audiobooks when I can’t have my head between the covers of a great book (like when I’m making dinner or getting a shower)! Granted, there is no way I’m getting to all of these titles in one weekend, but I went a little overboard in ordering ILLs from my library and this is what came in!
