Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Resolutions

reading goals

  • Read More Widely
I’m a sucker for middle grade realistic fiction, but this year I’d really like to make sure I’m reading more widely with more focus on fantasy, science fiction, nonfiction, etc.
  • 365 Picture Book Reviews
I’m trying to do 365 picture book reviews on my blog this year, we’re on day 15 and I really like doing it, plus I’m being introduced to a lot of really great authors and illustrators through this project, which is awesome.
  • Track New Book Releases
I always feel behind when new books are released… I need to do a better job of tracking what’s going to be coming out so I don’t miss anything.
  • Use Social Media to Increase My Blog Traffic
I’m really liking my blog and the direction I’m going with it, I’m hoping to do more with social media and make more connections this year to really increase the traffic.
  • Use Netgalley and Edelweiss More Frequently
I get so caught up in the titles being released right now that I forget to look to the future and use these tools to get a jump start!
  • Revamp Blog
I’ve got an adorable idea to revamp the blog a bit and I’m hoping this is the year I can do that!
  • Create more fun reading lists for my blog
I love creating reading lists for friends and family, so I’d like to focus on creating some fun/silly/meaningful/useful reading lists for the blog.

And yes, although this is a Top Ten list, I’m going to hold off on seven goals, because that is more than enough to keep me busy this year! What are your reading goals? Do you set a number? Use a specific reading goal list?
