Picture Book Month: Family
A story about families in a round about sort of way. If you read the text, the books is really all about how important and special your skin is, but when you look closer at the illustrations this beautiful story shows such diverse characters, it’s fun to pour over all the characters and different families on the page. I loved looking at all the different skin tones, facial features and hairstyles in this story and not only that – all the different clothes the characters are wearing and the activities the kids are participating in. If you have an “untraditional” family (and I quote that because families can be so different and there’s nothing wrong with that), you’ve got to check out this great title!
