It's Monday! What Are Your Reading? 11/6/17
As expected long days at work, plus an awesome KidLitCon left me with very little extra time for reading this week. I finished The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street by Karina Glaser – and all I can say is I would love to live in the Vanderbeekers brownstone in Harlem with lots of love and family exploits, plus neighbors who rally together when you need it. I also read The First Rule of Punk by Celia C. Pérez about a spunky girl who wants to be punk, but also must figure out how to combine all the parts of who she is – sometimes being two halves doesn’t always feel like it makes one whole.
I have today off, so my big plan is to spend the day catching up on writing some blog posts and reading a lot. Check back later today for my picture book highlight for Picture Book Month!
- Hello, Universe by Erin Entrada Kelly
- The Lotterys Plus One by Emma Donoghue
