Picture Book Month: Storms & Typhoons

If you’re looking for the most adorable stormy to read to your scared little ones. Look no further than – Stormy Night by Salina Yoon. I first fell in love with Salina’s work after reading her book Penguin & Pinecone and I was hooked. This is a sweet story of a little bear frightened by the stormy night outside his window, but he tries to be brave as he comforts first his stuffie – Floppy, then his mama, and then his papa. I love the way Salina chose to give our little protagonist the power to comfort his parents becuase it made him feel empowered, but she also shared his scared side and when the time came his parents were right by his side. I love this book completely and it’s a must read for the whole family on those stormy nights!
