It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 3/13/17

80I’ve had little to no time to read this week, but I did get a chance to crack open Carmer and Grit: The Wingsnatchers by Sarah Jean Horowitz which I’m enjoying already (but haven’t gotten too far into yet!). It’s about a faerie with one wing and a magician’s apprentice in a steampunk world. Although I didn’t get a chance to read, I did get a chance to work on a few upcoming blog posts, which was definitely needed, so look for some great booklists and book reviews over the next few weeks.

I’m really excited to read The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas as it has received 8 starred reviews and is the talk of Twitter and many of the blogs of I follow.  I have it on hold and hope to get my hands on it soon!  I still have The Unexpected Life of Oliver Cromwell Pitts by Avi which I’m hoping to read this week as well. I’ve also got a couple of Board meetings and my mom is coming to visit this weekend, so we’ll see how much reading I actually get to! Although, they are calling for a Nor’easter this week, so I might get a snow day 🙂

I’m reading MG historical fiction, AIM (October 2016) by Joyce Moyer Hostetter. It’s the prequel to the novels BLUE and COMFORT. I’m enjoying it as much as I enjoyed them.
